Oct 10, 2011. I am trying to take a Acronis TIB Backup and Convert it to a VHD file - It keeps telling me Virtual Disk Conversion Failed - the conversion works if I convert it to a VMDK VMWare file format.

Hey there, this might be late, but I found a way to convert a *.tib to *.vhd in Windows 10 by work around (not sure if it works in Win7 or earlier): 1. Create VHD in Windos: Right-Klick on the Windows Logo and enter the 'Disk Management'. Then Action ->Create VHD, Chose the Location, the disk size, format VHD (VHDX doesn´t work in VirtualBox), your preferred disk type and then OK. Init and format virtual drive: Next right-klick on the new disk in the Disk Management and Initialze the disk. Then Create New Simple Volume, next, next, next, finish. In True Image restore the *tib to the virtual drive, but make sure that the real drive - the virtual drive is located in - has enough space.

Detach the VHD in the Disk Management. Now you can use the VHD in any Virtualization Tool.

I am just now needing to create a VHD file from a.tib file and since my.tib file validates successfully and the conversion tool fails, I need to use your method to do so. But your instructions are confusing to me.

First off, I have installed Classic Shell which replaces the start menu with one that looks more like Windows 7. So, right-clicking the Start Button (Windows Logo) does not show Disk Management. Right-clicking on the This PC icon and choosing Manage does open Disk Management in both cases. L Age Des Conquetes Crack. I discovered this after uninstalling Classic Shell.

Secondly, before step 2, your instructions say to choose Create VHD and to choose the location. Then, step 2 says to format the virtual drive. How do I format a virtual drive? Do you mean to format the disk where the virtual drive is located? If I go that route in Disk Management, a message appears that says 'Formatting this volume will erase all data on it.'

So, if I format the disk, the VHD file will be erased. Will you elaborate on your method?

You can convert.tib backups from Acronis to VHD format (Virtual Hard Disk) right inside the Acronis TrueImage utility. In order to do this, install the software and follow these instructions: • Run Acronis True Image. Click Tools ► Convert Backup to Virtual Disk • Conversion to Virtual Disk Wizard will start • Select the backup archive that you will convert to.vhd format • Select Microsoft Virtual PC • Specify the location where you would like to save the.vhd file • Click Proceed to start the conversion • Conversion will start There is likely no other way to convert tib to vhd, so using Acronis software is your only option for tib to vhd conversion. However, it is far from perfect and may sometimes show results which are not really usable because of the nature of the software handles the files. So a conversion that appears as possible, just because of matched actions, may in fact not be possible.
